Conep and Jamaican businessmen will promote trade

He National Council of Private Enterprise (Conep) and the Private Sector Organization of Jamaica (PSOJ) signed on Thursday a memorandum of understanding to promote investment and business development.

One of the main objectives of this memorandum is promote the exchange of knowledge, develop trade and investment relations and improve the environment for the private sector to increase cooperation and trade between the two countries.

The memorandum was signed by the president of Conep, Celso Juan Marranzini, and Metry Seaga, president of PSOJ, at the headquarters of the National Council of Private Enterprise.

“We are sure that this alliance will generate great benefits for both nations, promoting investment, trade and job creation in our countries”, highlighted Marranzini, during the signing of the memorandum.

Reaching this historic agreement is a fundamental step in the strengthening trade and economic relations between the Dominican Republic and Jamaica. “We are very close, we are very similar and we are very good friends,” he said, a news document says.
