Colombia-Canada 0-0 Draw: Ríos, Eustáquio Start; Suárez on Bench

International players from Portugal’s top football league are returning to their clubs after the latest FIFA break, having experienced mixed levels of involvement in recent national team friendlies.

This follows a goalless draw between Colombia and Canada, played early Wednesday. The match featured several starters from Portuguese clubs.

Stephen Eustáquio, a midfielder for FC Porto, played the entire 90 minutes for Canada. His nation is set to co-host the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

For Colombia, midfielder Richard Ríos was in the starting lineup. An unnamed midfielder from Benfica also started for Colombia, playing 78 minutes before being substituted.

Forward Luis Suárez, who plays for Sporting, was an unused substitute for Colombia in the friendly.

These matches were the final international outings for the players before they rejoin their respective clubs in Portugal.

Across the FIFA international window, Ríos accumulated 82 minutes of play for Colombia. Suárez logged a total of 69 minutes for the Colombian national side.
