Chukwueze, to Milan until 2028

Samu Chukwueze is one step away from becoming a Milan player. Only a few fringes are missing for it to become official. As AS revealed last Wednesday, the Italian club had resumed operations after both clubs declared contacts broken days ago. However, a twist in the script after Danjuma’s departure to Everton, also the goal of Milan. It caused the ‘rossonero’ team to return to the charge for the Nigerian winger. The operation will close around a fixed 20 million, but with bonuses and capital gains Villarreal can pocket around 30 million for a player who only had one year left on his contract.

Samu Chukwueze will sign a five-year contract for Milan, which will link him to the Italian club until June 30, 2028. The Nigerian winger will complete a spectacular attack line, which already includes Rafa Leao, Giroud, Pulisic… and the Swiss Okafor will also join shortly.

The sale of Samu Chukwueze maintains the departure policy that Villarreal began with the sale of Nicolas Jakson to Chelsea and Pau Torres to Aston Villa, in addition to the loan of Danjuma to Everton. If he also makes the transfers of Baena and Yeremy Pino, the Yellow Submarine could enter around 200 million euros in sales. On the contrary, Denis Suárez, Ben Brereton, Santi Comesaña and Ilias Akhomach have joined the ranks of Villarreal.
