Outdated analog meters are being replaced with advanced AMI smart meters, which provide more accurate readings and help prevent manipulation.

Can CFE Cut Off Electricity Supply?
While there are no planned power outages at present, CFE reserves the right to disconnect households that fail to comply with their service agreements. Two main reasons for disconnection are non-payment and illicit use of electricity, often referred to as “diablitos” or unauthorized connections.
