Electricity – a service we can’t live without. But if you’re not careful, you might find yourself in the dark. The Federal Electricity Commission (CFE) has announced new measures that will affect people who don’t follow the rules.
Let’s get straight to it. The CFE can cut off your electricity if you:
* Don’t pay your bills on time
* Make late payments
* Use electricity illegally, like with “diablitos”
* Have issues with your meter or billing
If you’re one of these people, you’re at risk of losing your electricity service in April.
So, how can you avoid getting cut off? Pay your bills within 15 days of receiving them. It’s that simple. The CFE has the power to manage and cut off service if you don’t comply.
But what if you’ve already gotten a warning? If your meter is flashing red, it means your service has been suspended. You have 30 days to pay your debt, or you’ll be cut off. And if you wait too long, you might have to sign up for service all over again – which means more hassle and expense.
To get your service back, you can pay your debt, call 071, or visit a customer service center. You’ll also need to pay any additional fees for reconnection.
The key is to stay on top of your payments and avoid any irregularities. The CFE is just doing its job, and it’s up to you to follow the rules. So, take a few minutes to check your bill and make sure you’re not overusing electricity. It’s better to be safe than sorry.
Remember, only people who break the rules will face service cuts in April. Electricity is a basic service we all need, so let’s make sure to use it responsibly. Pay your bills, avoid any shady practices, and you’ll be just fine.
