After his landslide victory last Saturday against the Mexican Juan Macias Montiel that led him to the conquest of the world middleweight title (160 pounds) endorsed by the World Boxing Council, the Dominican boxer Carlos *Caballo Bronco* Adames, grateful to all Dominicans for their support provided before and during the World Cup match that was held at Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, California.

With the victory Adames became the fourth champion simultaneously for the Dominican Republic, being the first time that this happens in the history of Creole boxing. The other universal monarchs that the country has are. Erick Rosa, Héctor Luis García and Alberto Puello.

According to Adames, the winning streak for the Dominican Republic will continue, because he said he is sure that boxers like Elvis Severino, Michel la Zalza Rivera, among others, will also be world champions as soon as his opportunity arrives.

"I want to tell all my people from the Dominican Republic, thank you for your support, for your blessings, for your good wishes and for your vibes, they all came, this title is yours and I hope we enjoy it together and I take this opportunity to send you a greeting especially to all my people from Elías Pina who were so attentive to this fight"Adames said moments after the fight.

In relation to the combat, I declare that it was more comfortable than he expected, given that at no time was he in trouble, nor did he feel the power of Montiel’s fists, who came with the fame of being a good puncher.

I specify that from the very first assault there was account that Montiel He had a lot of respect for him and never wanted to get close to him, so he decided to be the one who always carried the offensive of the combat and the plan worked perfectly.

Regarding the fact that he fought left-handed throughout the fight, Adames declared that he is a boxer who can fight with both hands and noticed that his plan was working for the left, so he decided to continue all the way like that.

"From the beginning I noticed that he felt respect for me, he never wanted to get close, that’s why I decided always take the offensive. I was left-handed, because as I fight with both hands and I saw that things worked for me, that’s why I went like that throughout the fight"declared Adams.

The fight was decided in the third round when Adames landed a combination of powerful blows to Montiel’s head that left him immobilized, prompting the referee to intervene and declare victory for the Dominican.

After the victory Adames, 28 years old and a native of Elías Pina, was left with a professional record of 22 wins against one loss and 17 knockouts, instead Montiel put his record at 23 wins, six losses, two draws and 23 knockouts.

Adames became the second Dominican boxer to win a world title at 160 pounds. The first was Julius Caesar Green.

Among all the world champions that the Dominican Republic has had, Adames is the fifth endorsed by the World Boxing Council. The previous ones were Eleoncio Mercedes, Héctor Acero Sánchez, Luis "Cucuso" Santana and Elio Enai Rojas.

The same title won by Adames on the night of Saturday the 8th of the current month was the same one that boxers of the stature of Marvin Hagler and Sugar Ray Leonard, among others, had at one point.

In another order Adames, I take the opportunity to apologize to Juan Macias Montiel, to all Mexicans and the general public raised on the day of the weigh-in where the Dominican boxer after getting off the scale refused to greet Montiel.

"It was not the best show, believe me that there is nothing personal, simply in moments like these one has very high adrenaline and those things happen, now well everyone who knows me knows the type of person I am, after I get out of the ring The first thing I did was go to Montiel’s dressing room to greet him and find out about his health. It’s also good that they know that I feel a lot of love and respect for the Mexicans, they adore me and I even finished my preparation in Mexico and the truth is that I felt at home, in any case I apologize to Montiel, his team and the entire public for what happened"said.

Regarding his next commitment, he said that he doesn’t know anything yet, but he made it clear that he is ready for any of the great champions of the division, including boxers of the stature of Guillermo Munguía, Jermall.

I chat among other good fighters.

Regarding his return to the country, he indicated that it will be in the next few days as soon as he finishes some protocol matters will be back in the country.
