Bungie’s got a problem on their hands. The release of Marathon, their highly anticipated game, has been delayed indefinitely. This news comes after a slew of issues plagued the game’s development.
According to a recent update on the game’s news page, the team received a ton of feedback from players during the Alpha Test. They decided to push back the release date, which was originally set for September 23, to focus on addressing these concerns.

Bungie says they’ll announce a new release window later this fall, along with updates on how they’re addressing player feedback. They’re also working on building a more engaging game universe.
The game’s had its fair share of controversies, including the use of digital artist Antireal’s work without permission. That’s still being sorted out.
When it finally drops, Marathon will be available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
