Bulgaria derrota 3-0 a Dominicana en la Liga de Naciones

The Bulgarian team, number 16 in the world ranking, defeated this Tuesday three sets to zero (25-15, 25-13 and 25-21) to its similar from the Dominican Republic, (8th in the world ranking) corresponding to the Group 6, in the continuation in the third week of the Women’s Nations League, organized by the International Volleyball Federation.

The Dominican Republic sextet rests this Wednesday in the League of Nations and will return this Thursday at 6:30 in the morning (Dominican time) against the Thai team.

The winners, who now have a record of (3-6), had a superb offensive game from María Yordanova who scored 22 points, followed by Nasya Dimitrova and Miroslava Paskava each contributing 10 points.

Paskova and Yordanova punished the Dominican defense with strong shots from all angles of the court, which never found a way to neutralize them.

In the lost cause by the Dominican Republic, which has a record of (3-6) Gaila González scored 10 points, Jineirys Martínez scored nine points and in a very poor afternoon offensively, Brayelin Martínez barely scored three points.

The team from Bulgaria looked far superior in all aspects of the game over their rival from the Dominican Republic who now have a record of three wins and six losses.

Aspects that greatly favored the winners was the blockade they imposed in the three sets, which could not be deciphered by their opponents.

Also the Dominicans had a poor defensive performance with errors in reception, while Bulgaria was also brutal in the counter-attacks.

The offensive weakness was very evident throughout the match. The main offensive weapon of the Caribbean is Brayelin Martínez, who only scored three points.

In the second game, Bulgaria made an 8-0 offensive rally against their rivals by taking the score from 7-5 to 14-5, something that was deadly of necessity for the Caribbean.

In the third set, after Bulgaria achieved a 12-7 lead, the defeated team took a second wind and with good attacks from Jineirys Martínez and Gaila González they managed to get on the scoreboard.

A spike from Gaila González equalized the actions at 19 points apiece, but Bulgaria quickly recovered and took the sets and the match.
