The actor recently shared his retirement plans. In an interview with British magazine GQ, Bryan Cranston revealed that in 2026 he will retire from acting, shut down his production company, Moonshot Entertainment, and sell his share of Dos Hombres.
The reason, he says, is that he just wants to do something other than worry about his job.
“I want to live this experience. I want to go on day trips, make a fire in the fireplace, drink wine with new friends, and not read scripts. It’s not about saying “Oh, I’ll read and see what I’m going to do”. No, it’s a break. It’s a stop. »

Bryan Cranston, 67, will be about 70 when he retires. He knows it’s a great opportunity to take, although he’s “used to this feeling of not knowing”. He also said he wanted to spend more time with his wife, Robin Dearden, whom he congratulates for having had to “rotate” his own life according to his roles.
“I want to change the paradigm once again. For the past 24 years Robin has lived his life hanging on to my cock. She was the back-up, she was the wife of a celebrity. She had to pivot and adjust her life to suit mine. She has benefited enormously from it, but we are unequal. I want to restore the balance. She deserves it. »
Bryan Cranston will soon be in the movie poster Asteroid City of Wes Anderson, and is also set to star in the action spy thriller Aryglea of Matthew Vaughn, as well as in the next drama Everything’s Going to Be Great of Jon S. Baird.
The Emmy-winning actor also opened up about his future projects. As for Malcolm’s team meeting, he sheds some light on the status of the potential project. But as for taking over the role of Walter Whitehe admits his reluctance with regard to any project of reunion.
“I am curious to know this family 20 years later. What happened to them? Where are they ? What are the children doing? They are adults now.”
“They wanted to do a 15th anniversary reunion of Breaking Bad. And I said to myself: ‘In five years, we’re going to be 20, then 25, then…’ It’s as if we weren’t trying to do too much. »
