Former Australia pacemaker Brett Lee has said that the current Indian squad has four or five players who can potentially lead the senior test squad. Brett Lee’s comments come two weeks after Virat Kohli stepped down as Test India captain. Last year Kohli stepped down as T20I captain and was later dropped as ODI captain as the selectors wanted only one captain in the limited overs format.
Lee told ANI on the sidelines of League of Legends cricket in Oman. “It’s completely Virat Kohli’s decision. My focus is on the Big Bash League and of course the Ashes. I can’t say much about it, it’s completely up to Virat Kohli. I think four-five There are players who can captain the Indian team in testing. Who will lead India in testing, only time will tell.”
