Brazil is on a roll in the CS2 scene, snagging two more spots at the BLAST Major Austin. The country’s already got three teams – FURIA, MIBR, and paiN – locked in for the second phase.
The South American regional qualifier kicked off on Tuesday, featuring eight teams vying for just three Major spots. The lineup is a heavyweight mix of Brazilian and one Argentine team: BESTIA.

Competition Format
The tournament is divided into two groups. The top team in each group gets an automatic Major spot. The rest fight it out in the lower bracket for the last spot.
Here’s how the groups are shaping up:
Group A
Imperial took down ODDIK 2-0, while Sharks edged out Solid 2-1. Now, Imperial faces off against Sharks for a direct Major spot. ODK and Solid are fighting for survival in the lower bracket.

Group B
Fluxo dominated BESTIA 2-0, and Legacy shut out RED Canids 2-0. The big matchup is Fluxo vs. Legacy for a Major spot. BESTIA and RED Canids are battling to avoid elimination.

The action continues on Wednesday. Imperial takes on Sharks at 2:30 PM BrasÃlia time, and Fluxo clashes with Legacy at 7:30 PM.
