Bollywood actress Richa Chadha to support girls’ empowerment

MukkaMaar, a non-profit organization, is partnering with Bollywood actress Richa Chadha to promote the need for self-defense classes and promote self-defense skills among girls.

The NGO works with the Mumbai Municipal Education Department to ensure its primary focus, which is gender equality. The NGO, with the support of the actress, has published a research report entitled “The power of the body, voice and mind for all girls.” In addition, they also came up with the Power with Mukki platform and a digital product.

Richa is someone who has broken down barriers with her work. And he managed to do this while many in the country and especially in the film world believed that there is only one type of Bollywood actress; the shy, modest, docile woman. The actress has continued to break the myth with great performances in films such as Gangs of Wasseypur and Fukrey.

It’s not wrong to say that Richa paved the way for strong, determined women to be portrayed and applauded on the big screen. Therefore, the actress is also the right person to act as an ambassador for the NGO MukkaMaar.

“Girls self defense will remain a priority until we can change our boys. I hope that the situation never has to arise, that one has to defend oneself. But it’s not just about self-defense in tough situations. Learning to defend themselves gives girls more confidence in their own bodies and allows them to express themselves better. Mukkamaar does incredible work with thousands of girls and young adults. I have attended some of their events and they are fantastic, ”said Richa.
