Black Panther: Wakanda Forever: Winston Duke teases the future of M’Baku

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever finally revealed itself in a rather touching first trailer that focused on the legacy of T’Challaembodied by Chadwick Bosemanunfortunately died in August 2020 consequences of colon cancer. A first teaser which delivered a very large amount of information: We will have a new Black Panther, probably Shuri, Namor (Tenoch Huerta) will have a central place in the film as an antagonist and T’Challa should die of illness as evidenced by the ceremony honoring him in the opening moments of the trailer for the San Diego Comic-Con. Another doubt remains among some who think that the new Black Panther and protector of Wakanda will be M’Bakuin an astonishing reversal of the situation, especially since he recently signed a huge salary increase with Marvel.

The secondary characters of the universe Black Panther should have a lot more weight in this sequel. Of shuri at Okoye Passing by Nakia and M’Bakueveryone should have more screen moments.

In an interview with ScreenRantthe journalists questioned Winston Duke about the way which M’Baku had reacted to the world-changing events in Aavengers: infinity war and Avengers: Endgame. He replied that now his tribe of Jabari merged with the Wakanda to become citizens like the others:

“I think the events of Infinity War and Endgame really showed that the Jabari are now full members of Wakanda. M’Baku was part of every conflict; all events, and I don’t think they could really exist in isolation. They have open borders, and we saw that M’Baku was really Wakandan. His whole community grew. »

A change of tone in the character that could make him a major figure in the second film. We just have to wait until November 9 to find out…
