The cryptocurrency exchange Binance had released a new Twitter emoji, but the exchange soon came under heavy criticism. The Emoji looked like a Swastika.
An Embarrassing New Twitter Emoji
In these turbulent times, almost everyone agrees on at least one thing: Nazis are bad. The use of its symbols is therefore still strongly frowned upon by mankind. But crypto exchange Binance hadn’t thought about that very carefully. Binance released a new Twitter emoji that looked suspiciously like a swastika.

After receiving criticism, Binance quickly changed the emoji back.
“Well, of course that was very embarrassing. We’re not sure how that emoji got through several reviews without anyone noticing. but we noticed the problem immediately and removed it. The new emoji design is rolling out right now.” So wrote Binance’s Twitter account.
Something is off about this new #Binance logo
Can’t put my finger on it exactly
It just doesn’t feel Reich

What made everything even more “embarrassing” was the fact that it was released on Hitler’s birthday. Swastikas, by the way, have a much less disturbing interpretation in the East of the world. And since Binance is mainly based there, this will be the reason.
