The whole drama started when the set, located at Jollywood Studios in Bidadi, Bengaluru, faced a sudden shutdown. Authorities sealed the premises due to some serious environmental rule-breaking. Imagine the panic on set!
The Environmental Blunder
It turns out the Karnataka State Pollution Control Board (KSPCB) paid a visit to Jollywood Studios. What they found wasn’t pretty. The studio’s sewage treatment plant was apparently not working at all. Plus, they were using generators without the necessary permits. This kind of lapse can cause real trouble for the environment.
This wasn’t the first warning, either. Eshwar Khandre, the Minister for Forest, Ecology, and Environment, later revealed that the studio had been notified twice before. Notices went out on March 8 and June 11, 2024. But it seems these warnings didn’t lead to proper action. This forced the Bengaluru South District administration to step in with police and KSRP forces. They sealed the studio, cut the power, and moved all the Bigg Boss contestants. They were taken to Eagleton Resort and kept under strict watch. No mobile phones or TV allowed for them either!
Government Steps In
The situation definitely needed some big guns to get involved. Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar heard about the issue and decided to intervene. He announced on social media that he had ordered the Deputy Commissioner of Bengaluru South District to lift the seal on Jollywood Studios. This clear directive meant the show could finally resume production.
