Before the auction, Ahmedabad selected its three players, handed over the captaincy to Hardik Pandya

Ahmedabad, the new Indian Premier League franchise, has selected three of its players. According to the IPL rules, the new franchise was required to select three players before the mega auction. Ahmedabad has chosen Indian star all-rounder Hardik Pandya, Afghan player Rashid Khan and young Indian batsman Shubman Gill.

Ahmedabad bought Hardik Pandya for Rs 15 million. At the same time, the franchise also included player Rashid Khan in their team for 15 million rupees. Apart from this, the franchise spent eight crores on Shubman Gill.

The Ahmedabad stock exchange also had Rs 90 crore for the mega auction, of which it spent Rs 38 crore on buying these three players. In such a situation, now Ahmedabad has 52 million rupees to auction.

FYI, let us tell you that the IPL 2022 mega auction will be held in Bangalore on February 12-13. Although, the Indian Cricket Board has not yet announced the auction dates, but sources close to the board have sealed the auction dates.

The BCCI had given the new IPL teams, Lucknow and Ahmedabad, until January 25 to pick three players each. On Friday, Lucknow also selected their three players. Lucknow has appointed Indian star starter KL Rahul as their captain. At the same time, the franchise has included Marcus Stoinis from Australia and young Indian spinner Ravi Bishnoi on their team.
