Bayern Munich is set to face Inter Milan next Tuesday in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League quarterfinals without some key players. The team recently lost Dayot Upamecano and Alphonso Davies, and now Jamal Musiala is out with a muscle injury from the latest Bundesliga match against Augsburg.
Musiala, who has 18 goals and six assists in 40 games this season, grabbed his left thigh at the 53-minute mark and was replaced by Thomas Muller. This was after he scored the equalizer for the visitors in the first half.
After the game, Bayern’s sports director Max Eberl told DAZN that Musiala won’t recover in time for the clash with Inter Milan. He joins Manuel Neuer, Upamecano, Hiroki Ito, and Aleksandar Pavlovic on the list of absent players. However, there’s some good news: French winger Kingsley Coman is back from injury and could be an option for coach Vincent Kompany.

On the bright side, Kingsley Coman’s return could give the team a much-needed boost.
