Bare Knuckle’s Spanish Debut: Franco Tenaglia Targets Glory in Marbella

Franco Tenaglia, a fighter with a clear plan, is gradually achieving each of his goals. The European lightweight champion in Bare Knuckle, a bare-knuckle boxing division co-owned by Conor McGregor, has his sights set on the World title, with a match against Tony ‘Loco’ Soto at the Marbella Arena on October 12.

Tenaglia, based in Alicante, trains at the Climent Club, the same gym that has produced Ilia Topuria, a UFC champion. This year, he aims to complete two goals: winning the world belt and fighting on Spanish soil, both of which he will have the opportunity to achieve in the coming months.

The event, scheduled for October 12, promises to be an exciting one, given the rapid rise of Bare Knuckle and its new ownership, which includes Conor McGregor. The Irishman had already announced his intention to bring the company to Spain, and now that has become a reality with the announcement of the Marbella event.

In a previous statement, McGregor mentioned that the location for the event was still to be determined, only hinting at the possibility of hosting an event in Marbella. It is now clear that this will indeed be the case. Tenaglia will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience before taking on the challenge of the Bare Knuckle title in October.
