A message published on social networks by the founder and former president of the dissolved BarakaCity association shocked many Internet users and supporters, who felt that the words used by the latter salute the arrival of the Taliban to power.
Along with a photo of the Islamist fighters, Idriss Sihamedi wrote: “May Allah descend upon the Afghan people the most beautiful riches, the most beautiful hospitals, the most beautiful schools and the most beautiful future that the country has never been able to dream of.” Quickly featured words on the social network Twitter.
May Allah bring down on the Afghan people the best riches, the best hospitals, the best schools and the best future that the country has never dreamed of.
Amin and Rabb!

“If there was a need to prove the merits of our fight, that of Gerald Darmanin, against BarakaCity and its founder Idriss Sihamedi”, thus commented LREM deputy François Jolivet, referring to the dissolution pronounced against the association last November. “Oh, what a surprise, an Islamist supports the Islamists”, the socialist Amine El-Khatmi reacted with irony, adding: “when I think of the cries of indignation uttered by some at the time of the announcement of the dissolution of BarakaCity ”.
Along the same lines, many Internet users criticized those who supported BarakaCity at the time of its dissolution, in particular political figures and left-wing activists.
One of them, journalist Taha Bouhafs, who mobilized against the dissolution of the association, also reacted to Idriss Sihamedi’s comments, according to the weekly Marianne. “It is because I defend principles that I protested against this dissolution. But let me be clear: I never shared the political opinions of its founder ”. A turnaround that he did not like and he responded: “There is a restless, cowardly left without great principles. The one who mocks in turbulent times and who dissociates from everything and goes against (sic) what he says in ‘off’. Thanks to some for clarifying who they really are ”.
