The third edition of the ATP Cup will take place from January 1-9 in Sydney. It will be the prelude to the Australian Open, the first Grand Slam of the season, and will be made up of sixteen countries. Among these, Spain will be represented by Bautista, Carreño, Ramos, Davidovich and Martínez. There will be a group stage and then knockouts. Here is the full format:
Format and groups
The teams are divided into four groups of four teams each. The first of each group goes to the semifinals. Each crossover between two teams is made up of two singles matches and one doubles match. The first team to win two games wins the crossover. Spain will share group A with Serbia, Norway and Chile. In case of finishing first in the group, their possible rivals in the semifinals would be Greece, Poland, Argentina or Georgia. Due to the numerous losses of Austria, France will replace him in this tournament.
