Atlético Tucumán defeated Patronato and achieved its first victory in the League Cup

Atlético Tucumán garnered its first victory in the Professional Football League (LPF) Cup, beating Patronato de Paraná 1-0 at home on the fourth date.

The only goal of the match, valid for zone 1 of the tournament, was the work of Federico Andrada three minutes into the second half.

The locals took possession of the ball for a good part of the initial stage, but beyond the attempts and combinations of Tesuri, Lotti and Andrada, they never clearly reached the Mansilla goal and, consequently, did not create risky situations.

Patronato did, once, with very little: Garay was unable to clear a center from the right, Sosa took advantage and hit a left-footed shot, inside the area, that hit the crossbar. That was the best of the first half.

Atlético took advantage as soon as the second half began: Tesuri made a good individual maneuver from the left, Carrera received and shot on goal, Mansilla rebounded and Andrada, his goalscoring instinct intact, capitalized with a right foot to make it 1-0.

The match continued with the same characteristics, that is, without too many lights, which was convenient for Atlético Tucumán, who relied on the inefficiency of the Board of Trustees to find ways to equalize and -even far from its good image of recent times-, ended celebrating his first victory in the Cup.

Those from Paraná, on the other hand, still haven’t won (add one point) and are increasingly committed to the relegation table.
