Assam Clears All Cinemas for Zubeen Garg’s Final Film

All cinema screens across the Indian state of Assam will exclusively feature ‘Roi Roi Binale’, the final film of the late Assamese music icon Zubeen Garg. This unprecedented move is a tribute to the celebrated artist.

The film is scheduled for release on October 31. This decision ensures that Garg’s last cinematic endeavor receives widespread attention and attendance throughout the region.

Zubeen Garg passed away on September 19 in Singapore. His death prompted widespread mourning across Assam and the nation.

To facilitate the exclusive screening, all other films will be temporarily removed from rotation in Assam’s theaters. This includes major releases such as ‘Thamma’, ‘Ek Diwane Ki Diwanayat’, ‘Kantara Chapter 1’, and ‘Jolly LLB 3’.

The mandate is a direct response to ensure ‘Roi Roi Binale’ is the sole film available in cinemas statewide. Media reports confirm this tribute initiative.

‘Roi Roi Binale’ is an Assamese-language musical romantic drama. The film was directed by Rajesh Bhuyan.

Zubeen Garg himself wrote the film’s script and stars in the lead role, marking his final screen appearance. The production was a collaboration between Zeal Creations and I-Creation.

Other prominent cast members include Mousumi Alifa, Joy Kashyap, and Achurjya Borpatra.
