Asian Championship 2023: The final match of the 2023 Asia Cup between India and Sri Lanka will be played on Sunday. This match is scheduled to be played at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo but before this match the Sri Lankan team suffered a major blow. Therefore, his team could face defeat in the final. In fact, a Sri Lankan player got injured in the match against Pakistan in the Super 4 round on Thursday and now it seems difficult for this player to play the final.

The Super 4 round-robin match between Pakistan and Sri Lanka took place in the Asia Cup on Thursday. Sri Lanka won this game by two wickets but in the meantime their team suffered a big defeat. In fact, Sri Lanka’s star spinner Mahish Tikshina got injured in the 34th over of that game. He then left the field and received medical treatment from the physiotherapist at the border. Although he returned to the field after that and also bowled, it is believed that it will be a bit difficult for him to play in the final.

After the match against Pakistan, the Sri Lanka board announced on their social media that Mahish Tikshina had suffered a strain in his right hamstring. The player will undergo a scan tomorrow (September 15) to fully assess his condition. Tikshina suffered the injury while he was on the field during the ongoing match between Sri Lanka and Pakistan. The Sri Lanka team also has to take part in the ODI World Cup which will be held this year. In such a situation, the board does not want any of its players to get injured and be eliminated from this major tournament. In such a situation, Mahish Tikshina can be given a break in the game against Team India.
