As per ICC guidelines, World Cup team changes can be made until September 28. The Board of Control for Cricket in India is currently confused about the inclusion of Ashwin or Sundar. Both players were given a chance in the three-match ODI series against Australia. Changes in the World Cup team will be based solely on the performance in the ODI series.

However, instead of Sundar, Ashwin’s claim seems stronger. Ashwin is currently India’s best bowler in Test cricket. Even in the T20 format, Ashwin bowls firmly.
