Ashutosh Sharma Shines Despite Injury, Powers Delhi Capitals

The Delhi Capitals pulled off a thrilling one-wicket win against the Lucknow Super Giants last Monday. Ashutosh Sharma was the hero, smashing 66 runs in 31 balls. Delhi Capitals head coach Hemang Badani praised Ashutosh’s commitment and determination.

Injury couldn’t stop him

The Delhi Capitals shared a video on social media where Hemang Badani revealed that Ashutosh played despite a cut on his finger. “Ashutosh had a cut on his finger, and there was a possibility he might miss the match,” Badani said. “I spoke to him two days before the match, and he told me he was playing no matter what.”

Ashutosh was struggling at first, scoring 15 runs in 15 balls. But then he shifted gears, smashing 51 runs in the next 16 balls. His innings ended with 66 runs in 31 balls, including 5 fours and 6 sixes.

Rising star

Ashutosh’s IPL stats aren’t impressive, but he’s made a name for himself as a finisher in the last two seasons. He’s scored 255 runs in 12 matches, with two fifties and a strike rate of 177. Delhi Capitals are lucky to have him on their team.
