Brazilian model and actress Larissa Bonesi, known for her rumored association with Aryan Khan, has unexpectedly found herself at the center of a political controversy in India. Social media users mistakenly linked her to allegations made by a prominent political leader.
The confusion stems from recent claims by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. He accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of vote theft in Haryana.
During a press conference, Gandhi displayed a photograph of a Brazilian model. He questioned her presence multiple times on voter lists in Haryana.
Gandhi did not name the model. However, some individuals on social media began to identify her as Larissa Bonesi.
This misidentification quickly led to a wave of online activity. Many users congratulated Bonesi, believing she was the model mentioned in the political dispute.
Comments on her social media posts included remarks such as, “You are famous in India” and “Congratulations for Indian citizenship.”
Larissa Bonesi has not publicly addressed these comments. However, some of her supporters attempted to clarify that she was not the person mentioned by Rahul Gandhi.
The actual source of the confusion lies in the similarity between Larissa Bonesi’s name and another Brazilian model, Larissa Neri. Neri has reportedly stated that the image shown by Rahul Gandhi was indeed of her.
Bonesi, 31, has appeared in minor roles in Indian films. Her credits include ‘Go Goa Gone’ (2013) and ‘Ghaati’ (2025).
She recently gained media attention after being seen with Aryan Khan, sparking rumors of a relationship. Neither Bonesi nor Khan has commented on these speculations.
