Filmmaker AR Murugadoss is no stranger to working with superstars. His latest project, “Sikandar”, features Salman Khan, and he’s previously collaborated with Aamir Khan on “Ghajini”. Murugadoss believes that when working with big names, it’s impossible to stay completely true to the script. You have to consider the fans and the opening weekend.
Murugadoss has worked with a slew of superstars, including Rajinikanth, Vijay, Suriya, Mahesh Babu, Chiranjeevi, and Ajith. He says that when making a film with a superstar, you can’t just focus on the story – you need to include elements that will attract their fans. It’s a delicate balance between staying true to the script and giving the fans what they want.
“We have to compromise on the audience, fan base, and opening,” Murugadoss told PTI. “As a director, you can’t be 100% honest. You have to think about the fans and satisfy them, which is a very difficult zone to be in.” He also praises the superstars he’s worked with, saying they’re honest and passionate about their fans. They want to maintain their stardom and grow their fan base, which is something directors can learn from.
Murugadoss’ latest film, “Sikandar”, is tailored to Salman Khan’s die-hard fans. It’s his first film with the actor, and he promises it’s different from Salman’s previous movies. “Sikandar” features a unique love story between a husband and wife, much like the beautiful love story in “Ghajini”. Murugadoss is hopeful that fans will appreciate the effort he’s put into making a film that will satisfy their cravings.
