Meet the New Lineup of Aprilia Racing
Aprilia presented its 2025 MotoGP team at the headquarters of Italian television Sky, marking the beginning of a new era in the sport. The team has high hopes of dethroning Ducati with the help of new team members Jorge Martín and Marco Bezzecchi.
Kicking Off the New Season
Max Biaggi, the ambassador of the Piaggio Group brand and former 250cc champion, expressed his confidence in the new lineup. “We have the strongest team we’ve had at Aprilia in MotoGP. Marco is young and has great potential, while Jorge’s constant and motivated spirit is inspiring in the races.”
Massimo Rivola, the CEO of Aprilia Racing, echoed Biaggi’s sentiment, emphasizing the team’s drive to be competitive in every race. “We’re starting a new chapter with the ambition of becoming key players. Our new RS-GP 2025 bike has plenty of potential, and we’re determined to unlock it.”
At the Helm of Aprilia Racing
Fabiano Sterlacchini, the new top technical manager, and Paolo Bonora, his right-hand man, are leading the charge in developing the RS-GP 2025 bike. They, along with the rest of the team, are driven to push the boundaries of what is possible in MotoGP.
The Riders’ Perspectives
Jorge Martín, the 2024 champion, chose to ride with number 1 and two stars on his dome, reflecting his dual titles in Moto3 and MotoGP. “I’m excited to be in this team and think this is the perfect place for me to grow and succeed,” he commented.
His teammate, Marco Bezzecchi, shared his own perspective, highlighting the valuable learning experience of having a world champion like Martín alongside him. “Having Jorge on my team is an honor, and I aim to learn from him and stay close to him throughout the season,” Bezzecchi said.
Martín acknowledged the tough times he and Bezzecchi had in Moto3 but emphasized the importance of teamwork and collaboration. “Working together and supporting each other will help Aprilia move forward, and that’s what matters most,” he explained.
