The first thing you wanted to do andy rodriguez in his first press conference after the serious injury he suffered, was to thank everything that has happened since then: “First of all, I want to show my gratitude to the club’s doctor, Antonio Rodríguez, and to Michum, who They have not left me alone for a moment, they accompanied me to Barcelona for the surgical intervention and I felt fully supported in such a complicated situation. To the physios, teammates, coach, coaching staff. It’s a pleasure to be in this locker room. They are things that are not seen and I would like to highlight”.

The midfielder appeared before the media one day after learning of his renewal for one more season with Burgos: “I am very happy, very happy, I want to thank the club again, the sports management because the renewal has been very easy for me. From the day I found out the extent of the injury, they told me that they were not going to let me down, that they were going to count on me for the following season, and for me it is an extra motivation in this long recovery to be able to return all this confidence to the team”.

Andy has commented on how he carries out the day-to-day recovery, in which no deadlines are set: “In this beginning we are taking small steps. From being immobilized, to using crutches and now, what I am walking without help, but it is a long process and they have advised me patience and effort. We are on the right track, the doctors are telling me that everything is going well and I don’t want to shorten the deadlines or return date and the most important thing is to recover well”.

The midfielder acknowledged that he was living with healthy envy the start of the season for his team: “From the stands it’s a little worse than from inside. This has played like this and we have to face it without looking back and focus on the daily work and return as soon as possible”.

He has also commented that his dream is to help the team this season: “I wish I could help the team at the end of the season. The dates of the end of the league coincide with the dates of my recovery and I have not considered it as a priority objective”.

Lastly, he commented on Burgos’ future plan: “Since promotion, things have been going very well. This year they have given continuity to the base of the team from last season and I think it is very important, there are several players with a contract for next season, as is my case. Me I have a debt with the club and I have to pay it with effort to be able to return it on the pitch and help Burgos”.
