An attractive MMA card where two titles will be disputed

Dominican Lucas Marte declared himself ready to dethrone Venezuelan Jhonasky Sojo as the undisputed champion of mixed martial arts at 155 pounds.

Marte guaranteed that he will prove to be the legitimate owner of the scepter that the Venezuelan has held since last May, when they met the last time.

The Dominican made his promise at the press conference held this Wednesday in the auditorium of the Hall of Fame, where the promoter Fighting Force Siete announced an international card, in which another two scepters will be at stake.

The martial arts poster will be held on November 27 in the fencing pavilion of the Juan Pablo Duarte Olympic Center, informed Rodolfo Dauhajre, president of the Fighting Force Siete company.

In addition to Rodolfo, the activity was led by the Administrative Vice Minister of Sports Franklin de la Mota, who represented Minister Francisco Camacho; Fausto Severino, Chief of the Ministerial Cabinet of the Miderec and Domingo Dauhajre, advisor to Fighting Force.

“Sojo has enough time with the title in his possession. I am willing to show that I am the rightful owner of the crown, “said Marte, whose record is 6-2.

Sojo was also confident and prepared to retain the scepter.

“I am the current champion and I intend to continue that way. I am going to show once again that I am the best fighter in the country at 155 pounds and I am sure that I will come out victorious either by knockout or by decision, “said Sojo, whose record is 12 wins and three losses.

Other headline fights

Dauhajre said that in addition to the title fights, the poster includes three other revenge bouts.

“This will be the best card of the year since we will be making a card where three national championships will be at stake and we will carry out the most exciting rematches in the history of martial arts in the country, so we will close 2021 at the top”, said the president of Fighting Force Seven.

Rodolfo added that on the same evening of November 27, the promoter will celebrate the final of the Dominican Insurance Grand Prix tournament, where the finalists Ty Kalista (6-6), of North American nationality, and Dominican Johansser Paulino (6 -2), as well as Luis Rodríguez (10-2) and Miguel Ángel Sosa (4-1), who will fight for the inaugural 125-pound title.

Other gladiators who will see action on the card are Reynaldo Acevedo, Micaías Ureña and Elías Santos.

Talk About La Mota

Vice Minister Franklin de la Mota highlighted the importance of the event, while reiterating the commitment of the government of President Luis Abinader and engineer Camacho to support Olympic and professional sports.

“The mission of this administration is to help raise the quality of sport in general and we are achieving it,” said De la Mota.

While Domingo Dauhajre said that the success of martial arts is the product of the effort and collaboration of the private sector and the government.

The event will be televised by channel 88, Colimdo TV, of the Dominican Olympic Committee, as well as by the national and international platforms of Fighting Force.

The billboard will begin at 6:00 in the afternoon and will be open to the public, following the protocols required by the authorities. Tickets are on sale at Uepa Tickets, at a cost of 800 pesos general admission and 1,500 in the Cage Side area.
