The site was doing well, with attendance doubled since the start of the year. But it offered illegal downloads: more than 10,000 music albums made available to French and Moroccan users, as well as videos. Amount of damage estimated by Sacem: more than 5.5 million euros.
Today “nohazik.us” is no longer, made inaccessible since the arrest on September 21 of the one the gendarmes suspect of being the designer and manager of the site, in view of the digital traces he left.
The individual, located in Amiens by the research section of Lille-Villeneuve-d’Ascq, acknowledged his involvement in the administration with, according to his statements, the help of a friend in Morocco.
