“Argentina Argentina!”. That chant -so authentic- for our country resounded on several fields this past weekend, while the soccer championships paid homage to the ex-combatants, on Veteran’s Day and Memorial Day in the Malvinas war. But that same cry was heard, this same April 2, 11,928.46 kilometers from the City of Buenos Aires and a few thousand more from Malvinas.

It was in Scotland, in the small town of Dingwall, when Ross County hosted the historic Glasgow Celtic for the Scottish League. The visiting fans shouted for Argentina in the victory of their team due to the goal by Alexandro Bernabéi, a young defender from Santa Fe who not only made history by being the first compatriot to score a goal with the green and white jersey but also by being the architect of getting the United Kingdom to sing for Argentina on a symbolic date for the sovereignty of our nation.
