Double Connection Between Al Nassr and Málaga Next Season Confirmed
Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al Nassr and Málaga will have a strong sports bond next season, as the Saudi Arabian team has confirmed that Málaga-born Fernando Hierro, former Spain coach and sports director, will be its new sporting director.
The legendary Real Madrid player has called on an old acquaintance for his project, and Málaga’s native son is set to join the management team, with the agreement officially announced on Monday.
Experienced Professional Joins Management Team
Adrián Espárraga, a seasoned expert in sports management, will join Al-Nassr’s project, leaving his current role at an Asian investment fund that owns several clubs, including Juventud de Torremolinos and Charlton Athletic. The Spanish native has an impressive resume, including stints at Betis, Tottenham, Leicester, Girondins de Bordeaux, and the ACA Football Partners project in Europe.
Málaga Roots Remain
Although Adrián Espárraga is leaving for Saudi Arabia, he will maintain a strong connection with his hometown. As a co-owner of Juventud de Torremolinos, he will continue to play a key role in the team’s growing project.
