Advertising Investment Rises 1.5% to €1.3 Billion in First Quarter 2025

Advertising spending rose 1.5% in the first quarter to €1.3 billion, according to InfoAdex. This growth marks a slowdown from previous years. The total spend was €1.303 billion, up from €1.284 billion in the same period last year.

Top Advertising Channels

Television remains the leading advertising channel, despite a 3.3% decline to €424.1 million. Search advertising followed, dropping 1.2% to €207.2 million. Social media advertising grew 2.9% to €167.1 million, securing third place. Newspapers and magazines ranked fourth, with a 3% increase to €145.5 million.

Other Notable Trends

Radio and digital audio advertising rose 2.2% to €128.6 million. Other websites saw a 10.3% jump to €97.1 million. Outdoor advertising surged 18.5% to €88.8 million. Magazines grew 0.7% to €40.3 million, while cinema advertising increased 17.1% to €4.2 million.
