The director’s arctic adventure Peter Flinth with Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Game of Thrones) in the lead role and co-writer, takes a stark look at Greenland’s complex history through the lens of the men who nearly died trying to reach it. The secondary actors are Charles Dancea Game of Thrones alumnus, and Joe Cole, by Peaky Blinders. The film was shot in Greenland and Iceland, making the locations impeccably accurate. Based on the autobiography of Ejnar Mikkelsen, “Against The Ice” shows the sad and harsh reality that one had to endure to cross the arctic tundra. This film is truly full of pain, hope and courage. The Mission is a Netflix adaptation of the eponymous novel by Paulette Jiles. Directed by Paul Greengrass, the cast consists of Tom Hanks and Helena Zengel. The story traces the journey of a former Texan captain, traveling from town to town to tell the news of the world aloud.
He meets a little girl, kidnapped by Kiowa, captive for six years, she does not know a word of English. The duo’s epic journey to find the girl’s family begins.

Adapted from Lily Brooks-Dalton’s novel Good Morning Midnight, Midnight in the Universe follows the adventure of Augustin Lofthousee, a researcher, sick, remained on Earth while humanity had to flee to other horizons. George Clowney directs and plays the star actor, while his character finds himself in the company of the little girl for whom he will have to do everything possible to offer her a better future.
At the same time, Augustine establishes contact with astronauts who know nothing of the cataclysm on Earth and who, without his intervention, go straight to death.

Carried out by David H. Rosenthal, How It Ends stage Theo James, actor in the Divergent franchise, as a man who suddenly loses contact with his pregnant wife (Kat Graham) during a catastrophic event. He is then forced to strategize with his stepfather, played by the Oscar winner, Forrest Whitaker, for a 2,000 km journey across the United States.

Carried out by Miguel Sapochnik, Finch is a former robotics engineer and inventor who survives a devastating solar flare. Remarkably performed by Tom Hanks, Finch is a survivor, evolving in a post-apocalyptic world, and suffering from loneliness and illness. Thus, he will form a surprising trio, with his dog, and Jeff, the robot he will create to take care of his animal when he dies.
The relation between Finch and Jeff is poignant, she establishes herself in the image of father and son, as Tom Hanks transcribes the feelings of his character with perfection, letting the viewer dive into the heart of the dialogues with emotion. It’s a beautiful film, or adventure, the main characters undertake an inevitable journey west for their salvation. Whatever they find, they’ll have to find themselves first.
