Actor Elio Pietrini, an ace of Venezuelan soap operas, dies of covid

Elio Pietrini, histrion from the golden age of Venezuelan soap operas, died after complications caused by covid infection. He was 83 years old.

Pietrini gave life to Don Fulgencio in the series "the gang of 7" and participated in soap operas like "through these streets", "contempt", "rich little thing", "Turn around so that you fall in love", "the young widow", "Pure blood", "Abigail", among other.

Pietrini, who died Tuesday in Florida, was born on January 2, 1939 in Argentina, but he was known as a Venezuelan because he went to live in that country and that was where he developed his work in acting.

For 12 years he belonged to RCTV, the plant where he began his artistic career and where he made a large number of soap operas and unit programs. Later he joined Venevisión, where he continued to stand out as an actor until his retirement date.

Likewise, Elio Pietrini was seen in “Gabriel’s Tree”, “La Precursor” and “The Forgiveness of Sins”, “Los Querendones”, “Mambo y Canela” and many more productions.

Pietrini was also in the ranks of the theater, leaving his name high with his performances, some of them were the “Masked Ball”, “Strokes of my life”, “Beyond the horizon”, “Which is my wife and which is the other” and the most recent was “An afternoon in Saint Tropez”, with Eduardo Serrano.
