Ac. Viseu Secures Costa Rican International Álvaro Zamora on Loan

Ac. Viseu just made a splash, bringing in a dynamic winger who promises to light up the field. Álvaro Zamora, a 23-year-old Costa Rica international, joined the club this Thursday. He arrives on loan from Aris, a Greek team, and the deal even includes an option for Ac. Viseu to buy him permanently at the end of the season.

This isn’t just any signing; Zamora brings a wealth of international experience. He’s been a key player for Costa Rica in major tournaments. Fans might remember seeing him in the last Gold Cup. He also played in the Copa América, where Costa Rica participated as a special guest.

Zamora has been making a name for himself in Europe for the past two seasons. He joined Aris in the 2023/24 season. During his time with the Greek side, he played 62 games. He also scored six goals, showing his ability to find the net.

Speaking to the Ac. Viseu social media, Zamora shared his excitement. “From the very first day, they showed me so much warmth,” he said. “They also showed me a project that really won me over. I am sure I made a good choice.” He also introduced himself to the passionate Viseu fans, giving them a taste of what’s to come. “I’m a player who attacks a lot,” he explained, “and I’m very supportive of my teammates.” He’s ready to make things happen. “I can deliver good plays and score goals, so I consider myself very offensive.” Zamora then made a promise to the supporters. “I will give everything on the field. I’ll put in the maximum effort for this team so we can achieve our goal.”
