Abhijeet Bhattacharya Unfazed by Chunari Chunari Remake in Varun Dhawan Film

Abhijeet Bhattacharya isn’t fazed by remakes. When asked about the new version of “Chunari Chunari” in Varun Dhawan’s upcoming film “Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hai”, he said he doesn’t care. The original singer of the song from the movie “Biwi No. 1” revealed that neither the music composer nor the director, David Dhawan, informed him about the remake.

“Nobody told me about it,” Abhijeet said in an interview with Hindustan Times. “They don’t have the guts to tell me.” He seems unfazed by the trend of recreating old songs, stating that only great people understand the value of originals. “I don’t get involved in such petty things,” he added.

Abhijeet also confessed that “Chunari Chunari” was never his favorite song. He recalled that it was recorded in a hurry and didn’t make it to his list of outstanding songs. However, he acknowledged that the song has become an iconic hit among fans.

Varun Dhawan’s film “Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hai” also stars Mrunal Thakur and Pooja Hegde in key roles. The movie is expected to feature the remade version of “Chunari Chunari”, which was originally sung by Abhijeet Bhattacharya. Despite the remake, Abhijeet remains indifferent, stating that he doesn’t get worked up over “such small things”.
