Aamir Khan Recalls Firing 4 Actors from Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar

Imagine being on the sets of a movie where the lead actor is at his wit’s end. That’s what happened during the filming of “Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar”, a pivotal film in Aamir Khan’s career. The movie, which also starred Ayesha Jhulka, had a tumultuous production process.

Let’s set the scene:

Aamir recently opened up about the challenges he faced during the shoot. He revealed that four actors made his life hell on set, and he eventually got them removed from the project. But what led to this drastic measure?

It all started when the film’s director, Mansoor Khan, wasn’t satisfied with the female lead’s performance. Aamir recalled that Mansoor wanted to re-shoot some portions, and that’s when he suggested replacing not just the female lead but also the four problematic actors. The actress who played the role of Devika was replaced by Pooja Bedi.

Aamir shared his experience in an interview with “Just To Filmy” YouTube channel, saying that the film was shot twice. The first time, they had completed about 60-70 days of shooting in Ooty. But Mansoor felt that the actress playing Devika wasn’t doing justice to the role. He admitted it was his mistake, as he had cast the wrong person.

The film’s story took a dramatic turn when Pooja Bedi was cast in the role. This meant re-shooting the portions that had already been filmed. Aamir was disappointed, feeling he had done a great job so far. However, Mansoor was not convinced, and they had no choice but to re-shoot the film.

Now, here’s the part where things get interesting. Aamir talked about the four actors who made his life difficult on set. Without naming them, he described them as rude and ill-mannered, making life hell for him and Mansoor. He told Mansoor that if they were re-shooting 80% of the film, they might as well replace these actors and start fresh.

In a surprising twist, Milind Soman, who was initially part of the cast, had to leave the project due to production issues. He had revealed in an interview that he wasn’t happy with the production and had issues with the basic amenities like food on set. Deepak Tijori eventually replaced him.

So, what can we learn from this? Sometimes, making a movie can be a real challenge, and things don’t always go as planned. But with perseverance and a willingness to take tough decisions, you can create something truly special. “Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar” is a testament to that.
