Lash Legend, the rising star in WWE, is making a significant impact on the main roster, propelled by a strong support system both professionally and personally. Her recent call-up has placed her squarely in the spotlight, with NXT’s Trick Williams by her side as her biggest advocate.
Legend, 28, spoke about Williams, calling him “literally my No. 1 fan.” She highlighted his unwavering support, describing him as “very comforting” and “a shoulder to lean on.” She expressed deep gratitude for his presence, adding that he is “very excited” for her career milestones.
Their bond extends beyond professional encouragement. Legend noted the mutual understanding they share within the wrestling business. “His moment is also coming, and I’m right there with him,” she stated, emphasizing the value of having a partner who grasps the unique demands of their careers. “To be able to have a partner while you go through this journey is an incredible feeling. We value each other so much.”
The couple recently celebrated a significant personal milestone. They became engaged on Thanksgiving, a moment Legend shared publicly on November 28. She expressed her joy, writing that she was “so honored, blessed, and grateful to spend the rest of my life with my handsome best friend.”
Legend’s ascent to the main roster follows a distinguished athletic background as a collegiate basketball player for Texas A&M and Mississippi State. She officially signed with WWE in December 2020 and was promoted to the SmackDown roster earlier this month.
She never doubted her potential to reach the main stage. Legend revealed she had a strong premonition last year that the call-up was imminent. “I’ve been ready for as long as I could be,” she affirmed, recalling the notification that confirmed her official move to the main roster. “I was very grateful. I thought, ‘Okay, let’s do it. I’m ready to go out there.'”
Her time in NXT, WWE’s developmental brand, was crucial for her growth. Legend viewed every moment and opportunity there as beneficial to her trajectory. She maintained an optimistic outlook, confident in her abilities. “I know exactly who I am, I know what I have to offer, and I was very confident it was going to happen,” she explained.
Legend is embracing her current path. “Honestly, I wouldn’t want it any other way,” she said. “I like how things are transpiring for me right now.”
Her readiness will be tested at WWE’s ‘Survivor Series: WarGames’ event on Saturday, November 29. Legend will join Nia Jax, Asuka, Kairi Sane, and Becky Lynch in a formidable team. They are set to face Rhea Ripley, Charlotte Flair, Alexa Bliss, Iyo Sky, and AJ Lee in the women’s WarGames match. This intense encounter features a steel cage enclosing two rings.
Legend understands the gravity of the match. “This is not just any match,” she stressed, highlighting the need for mental toughness and physical endurance. “Many times in life, physically I just become a machine. I just keep going. You can’t overthink it.”
While acknowledging some “butterflies” for the high-stakes contest, Legend confirmed her excitement. “Something like this is so special,” she remarked. “I’m glad to be a part of it, and I’m ready to beat somebody up, you can best believe that.”
‘Survivor Series: WarGames’ will air live on ESPN+ from Petco Park in San Diego, California, on Saturday, November 29, at 7 p.m. ET.
