Taylor Swift made a high-profile appearance this past Sunday, personally supporting Travis Kelce as the Kansas City Chiefs faced the Indianapolis Colts. The pop superstar, 35, was observed celebrating from a private suite at Arrowhead Stadium. Fan footage shared on X captured her excitement.
Kelce’s team secured a critical 23-20 overtime victory against the Colts. This win was vital for the Chiefs, who face the risk of missing the playoffs for the first time since 2014, despite their recent Super Bowl wins in 2023 and 2024.
This marks Swift’s first sighting at a Chiefs game since October 27, when they played the Washington Commanders. While she has been a consistent presence this NFL season, she has maintained a lower profile, opting for discreet entries.
Swift’s attendance comes during a challenging period for Kelce, 36, and the Chiefs. The team held a 5-5 record before the Colts matchup, having suffered consecutive losses to the Buffalo Bills and Denver Broncos earlier this month. The Chiefs, who reached the Super Bowl in February, are currently at risk of missing the playoffs entirely for the first time since Kelce’s second professional season in 2014.
Despite the team’s struggles, Kelce achieved a personal milestone, breaking the Chiefs’ all-time touchdown record on November 16 against the Broncos. This achievement, however, was overshadowed by the team’s loss.
Kelce discussed the record on the “New Heights” podcast with his brother, Jason Kelce, on November 19. He called the honor “bittersweet” given the team’s recent loss, but expressed immense respect for the organization and those who paved his way.
He articulated his gratitude for the Chiefs, the team he has played for since his rookie season. Kelce noted, “I love coming to work. When you come with the right mindset and attitude, and you have a really good coach and a really good quarterback, and if you stay long enough, you don’t get fired in 13 years, then you start to accumulate some statistics.”
Kelce shared a positive outlook as the Chiefs aim to overcome their recent setbacks. He concluded, “I’m just a product of my environment and I love Kansas City for that. Let’s keep building that damn record, baby, and score more touchdowns this year to try and get to the playoffs.”
Away from the gridiron, Travis spent time with Swift during his bye week earlier this month. The couple, whose relationship became public recently, traveled to New York. They were seen hand-in-hand on two consecutive dates, visiting The Polo Bar and Zero Bond on November 5 and 6.
