OPPO Begins Global ColorOS 16 Rollout: Find N, X Series Lead Android 16 Updates

OPPO has begun its global rollout of ColorOS 16, its customized version of Android 16, for a range of smartphones, with certain flagship and foldable devices receiving the update first.

Last week, the Find N5 and Find X8 models were the first to receive the significant software upgrade.

Owners of the Find N3, Find N3 Flip, and Find N3 Pad 3 Pro can expect to receive the update in the coming days.

ColorOS 16 is described as a major update, bringing several improvements, including enhanced artificial intelligence features, visual upgrades, and a host of new functionalities. The download size for this update is expected to be several gigabytes.

Users should ensure their smartphone has sufficient storage space available before attempting to download the update package. It is also essential to have at least a 40% battery charge before beginning the installation process.

The Reno 14 series is scheduled to receive the ColorOS 16 update by the end of this month, followed by the Reno 13 series.

Further updates for other devices are planned for December, with additional models slated to receive the new operating system in the first quarter of 2026.

OPPO distributes its updates in batches, meaning the timing of availability may vary by region. Before installing ColorOS 16, users are advised to check for and install any pending system updates to ensure their device is prepared.
