Artist Jasna Salim Charged Again for Filming Reel at Guruvayoor Temple, Violating Ban

Artist Jasna Salim is once again facing legal complications, with a new case registered against her for allegedly filming a reel inside the sacred Guruvayoor Sree Krishna Temple in Kerala. This incident marks another instance of the artist violating regulations at the religious site.

Police in Guruvayoor registered a case against Salim and another individual on Friday. The action followed a complaint filed by the temple’s administrative officer. Police stated the case involves various sections of the BNS, and an investigation is currently underway.

This is not Salim’s first run-in with temple authorities over video recordings. Earlier this year, she faced charges for filming a video after garlanding an idol of Lord Krishna at the same Guruvayoor temple.

Her actions violated a recent High Court ruling. The court’s decision explicitly prohibited making and sharing such videos from within the temple premises on social media platforms.

Salim has also been involved in previous controversies. She reportedly attempted to film a video after cutting a cake near the Guruvayoor temple grounds.

Known for her paintings of Lord Krishna, Salim recently garnered significant media attention. She presented one of her artworks to Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his visit to Thrissur.
