Motorola Edge 70 Debuts: 5.99mm Thin, “Incredibly Resistant” Design

Motorola has introduced the Edge 70, a new smartphone designed to be the thinnest in its class while maintaining robust durability and an array of advanced artificial intelligence features.

The motorola edge 70 measures just 5.99 millimeters thick, making it the slimmest device in its category. It features an aerospace-grade aluminum frame and a nylon-inspired finish.

Despite its slender profile, the device is built for resilience. It boasts IP69 water protection, military-grade durability standards, and Corning Gorilla Glass 7i, making it capable of withstanding extreme conditions.

The Edge 70 is equipped with a high-resolution triple 50-megapixel camera system. This setup includes a 50-megapixel main camera with 4K video recording and 3x greater HDR coverage, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle macro lens offering a 120-degree field of view, and a 50-megapixel front camera.

A dedicated 3-in-1 light sensor enhances light sensitivity and ensures proper exposure. The “moto ai” Photo Enhancement Engine further refines images for improved accuracy and detail.

AI-powered photography tools include Signature Style for cohesive photo presets, Action Shot for sharp motion captures, and Group Shot to ensure everyone’s eyes are open.

Beyond photography, “moto ai” responds to questions, generates personalized images, and helps users capture daily details. The Next Move feature understands on-screen content for instant searching or action.

Additional AI functionalities like Catch me up, Pay attention, and Remember this are designed to boost productivity and store crucial information.

The ultra-thin device incorporates a 4800 mAh silicon-carbon battery, providing up to 50 hours of mixed use or 29 hours of continuous video playback. When charging is needed, it supports 68W wired TurboPower or 15W wireless TurboPower.

Each motorola edge 70 comes with a complementary magnetic case designed to fit its sleek form.

Performance is powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 mobile platform, which offers improvements in AI, CPU, and GPU capabilities. Motorola, a Lenovo company, also committed to providing four major Android operating system updates, including Android 16, alongside bi-monthly security updates until July 2031.

The motorola edge 70 will be available in Europe with a recommended price of approximately $860 USD (799.99 euros).

From November 5 through the last week of December 2025, a special promotional bundle will be offered in the Europe, Middle East, and Africa region. This bundle includes a Moto Tag, Moto Buds Loop Green, Moto Watch Fit, and a 68W TurboPower charger, exclusively available through motorola.com.

Motorola also launched the new moto buds bass alongside the Edge 70. These earbuds combine powerful sound and bass with lasting performance and everyday durability.

Designed for on-the-go use, the moto buds bass offer up to nine hours of playback per charge, extending to 43 hours with the charging case. A quick 10-minute charge provides two hours of playback.

Each earbud features a three-microphone system with CrystalTalk AI, enhancing call clarity by canceling echo, suppressing ambient noise, and reducing wind interference. The earbuds also have a water-repellent finish.

Audio quality is delivered through a 12.4mm dynamic driver tuned for enhanced bass and Hi-Res Audio certification, offering three times more data than standard CD quality for detailed sound.

Dynamic Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) provides up to 50 dB of isolation and an ultra-wide 4 kHz cancellation range. Adaptive ANC intelligently adjusts to the user’s environment, while a transparency mode allows users to stay aware of their surroundings.

The moto buds bass will be available in Europe at a recommended price of approximately $65 USD (59.99 euros).
