Silksong Player Reveals Moorwing Boss Tips: 30-Second Defeat or Quest Skip

Moorwing, an early boss in the highly anticipated Hollow Knight: Silksong, has been quite a headache for many players. This creature, appearing in ACT 1, throws out annoying and powerful attacks. It’s essentially an initiation challenge for the Greymoor area, leaving many feeling frustrated during their first few attempts.

Despite its tough nature, clever players have found incredibly simple ways to defeat it. One method, as shared by PC Gamer, involves using a special item. First, equip the Crest Reaper charm, which you can find in Greymoor town. This charm lets Hornet perform a powerful downward slash while she jumps. The trick is to lure Moorwing from the town gate. Guide it back up to the higher ground you originally descended from. Then, repeatedly strike it from the lower area. The boss won’t be able to hit you back at all. It’s an unbelievably easy way to get past a truly stubborn foe.

Silksong Player Reveals Moorwing Boss Tips 30 Second Defeat or Quest

Maybe fighting it just isn’t your style, especially since it doesn’t give you anything special for beating it. Good news: there’s a side quest that lets you skip the fight entirely. Head to The Marrow and find Fleamaster Mooshka. He offers a mission called "Lost Fleas." Your goal is to track down five scattered Fleas. Once you gather all of them, Mooshka and his friends will instantly transport you to Greymoor town, right in front of the Bellhart entrance. This effectively bypasses the Moorwing boss battle.

So, if you’re stuck and don’t feel like a drawn-out struggle, these methods are definitely worth trying. But hey, if you’re one of those players who loves a true challenge, facing Moorwing head-on is always an option too. No judgment here; play your way.
