MediaTek has been making significant progress in the mobile chip market. They introduced their Dimensity 8350 chip in November 2024. This processor is built using TSMC’s modern 4-nanometer process. It features eight CPU cores, with one reaching speeds of 3.35 GHz. For graphics, it uses a Mali-G615 MP6 chip.
Recently, some important test results for the Dimensity 8350 came out. The tech website GizmoChina shared details on how the chip performed. These tests were conducted using an OPPO Reno 13 smartphone, a model that was also released in late 2024.
The AnTuTu benchmark measures a phone’s overall speed and power. The Dimensity 8350 earned a total score of 1,352,732 points. This impressive number places it right between two well-known Qualcomm chips. Specifically, it sits above the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 but below the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.
Here’s how the AnTuTu score breaks down:
- CPU (Central Processing Unit): 289,855 points
- GPU (Graphics Processing Unit): 513,784 points
- Memory: 278,071 points
- User Experience: 271,022 points

These results suggest the Dimensity 8350 is strong for games and graphic-heavy apps. It also balances power and performance well. Overall, it performs better than Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and Samsung’s Exynos 2200. However, it still lags behind Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and Samsung’s Exynos 2400.
Next, let’s look at the Geekbench benchmark results. This test focuses specifically on the CPU’s ability to handle tasks.
- Single-Core (one CPU core working): 1,342 points
- Multi-Core (all CPU cores working together): 4,028 points

These Geekbench numbers show the Dimensity 8350 handles daily phone use with ease. It’s also good at running many apps at once. Like the AnTuTu results, these tests confirm its efficient power management. It can handle playing mobile games without a hitch. Its multi-core power is a little better than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and Exynos 2200. But again, it doesn’t quite match the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 or Exynos 2400.
So, where can you find this capable chip? The Dimensity 8350 powers several popular mid-range smartphones available today. You can spot it in devices like the OPPO Reno 13 and OPPO Reno 14. It also appears in the OnePlus Nord CE 5, Realme P3 Ultra, and Motorola Edge 60 Pro. MediaTek is clearly aiming to offer powerful options for phones that don’t break the bank.
