Ineos Grenadiers Tour Leaders: Carlos Rodríguez and Egan Bernal

The Spanish cyclist Carlos Rodriguez and the Colombian Egan Bernal will lead the Ineos Grenadiers team in the upcoming Tour de France, which begins in Florence on Saturday and concludes in Nice on July 21. Rodriguez, 23, won the Romandie Tour, while Bernal, 27, is a previous winner of the Tour de France and Giro d’Italia. They will be supported by experienced riders including Geraint Thomas, Tom Pidcock, Michael Kwiatkowski, Jonathan Castroviejo, Laurens de Plus, Ben Turner, and Scott Drawer.

Carlos Rodriguez is feeling confident ahead of the Tour, stating that his preparation has gone well and he is looking forward to a strong start. He credits his team’s support and a successful altitude camp in January for his current form.

Egan Bernal is thrilled to have been selected for the Tour again and sees it as a great honor to compete in the world’s most prestigious race. He aims to be competitive and make a real difference in the race, with the team looking to win and having multiple options to do so.

As the team approaches the second and third weeks of the Tour, Bernal believes it will be crucial to have different options, including different riders at the top of the general classification. This could lead to a strategic game, with the team having multiple cards to play.
