Ciudad Juárez, on the border with the United States, experienced a violent day with armed attacks against civilians and the burning of several businesses that left 11 dead, including a child and four employees of a radio station, and twenty others injured in a fight in a prison that unleashed the violence.

After the violent incidents, the border town woke up yesterday Friday in a tense calm with numerous businesses and educational centers closed, few people on the streets and constant patrolling by soldiers and police in some parts of the city.
The deaths were confirmed yesterday-Friday by President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, who indicated that during the violent events the civilian population was attacked with firearms after a confrontation between two criminal groups in a prison in that town.
