Lieutenant General (R) Sheikh Ahmad Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah was appointed as the new Prime Minister of Kuwait.
Emir of Kuwait Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah has appointed the new Prime Minister. Lieutenant General (R) Sheikh Ahmad Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah is the eldest son of the Emir of Kuwait.
Born in 1956, Lieutenant General (retd) Sheikh Ahmad Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah held high positions in the military institutions and has also held the responsibilities of the Ministry of Interior.
During March 2022, the Emir of Kuwait appointed Lieutenant General (R) Sheikh Ahmad Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah as the First Deputy Prime Minister as well as the Minister of Interior.
Lieutenant General (R) Sheikh Ahmad Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah has also played an active role in international organizations. He was a member of the General Assembly of the Arab Club while also being the President of Interpol.
