Industrial park will create 3,000 jobs

The Center for Development and Industrial Competitiveness (Proindustria) started the work of renovation of the industrial park of the San Francisco de MacorĂ­s Free Trade Zoneto condition the infrastructure that had been abandoned for more than 20 years, projecting to increase jobs by 3,000.

The act of commencement of work was led by the general director of Proindustria, Ulises RodrĂ­guez, together with government and local authorities, businessmen who operate in the park and staff of the institution.

RodrĂ­guez pondered the importance of conditioning this free zone and making it capable of housing more companies, which guarantee new jobs. He pointed out that the free zone sector is the fastest way to generate jobs, foreign exchange and move the economy of the towns and thus enable the well-being of its inhabitants.

This park has 10 industrial buildings. In these operate Industrias San Miguel del Caribe (ISM); Nova Textil and MacorĂ­s Shoes, which generate about 180 direct jobs.

“The objective of this renovation is that, once finished, it can generate 3,000 jobs for the Duarte province, RodrĂ­guez said at the activity, which was attended by the executive director of the National Council of Export Free Zones (CNZFE), Daniel Liranzo. .

Senator Franklin Romero and Ana Xiomara Cortés, governor of Duarte province, also attended.
